Photosynthesis

Describe how photosynthesis works: 50 words

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants (or trees) use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water.

In order to perform photosynthesis a plant needs sunlight, carbon dioxide, water, and chlorophyll! Chlorophyll is a green substance that all green plants have it is also what gives plants their color.

  1. Hello Naomi. I have one suggestion for you. You have a sentence that is actually composed of two sentences: Chlorophyll is a green substance that all green plants have it is also what gives plants their color.
I suggest that you re-punctuate it as follows: Chlorophyll is a pigmented substance that all green plants possess. It is also the chemical compound that gives plants their color.
    Have a wonderful night!
